Motor Vehicle Fatality of the Parents of Hugh McVean; Scarred, Damaged
for life:
This photo is of Hugh McVean, and my sister, Coral McVean, nee Mathews
[seems in retrospect, she drew the short straw], on 19th July,
1969. This was about seven years since Hugh McVean was at
All Souls
School, in Charters Towers..

On one Speech night, circa 1960 on the way back to Townsville, with
Hughie and his
parents and his slightly older sister Alison driving, their car, a
preWWII prefect, was
involved in a
major collision on the highway, and both of Hugh McVean's parents were
killed. Now that is real
tough. That would have been a terrible experience for all
involved. That would be a devestating emotional event. [How did
Hugh McVean deal with it? It is now becoming clear how, contrary
to appearances, it has destroyed him. It has made him a callous,
conniving shell of a man.] The Speech night was still winding
down, It was held on
the
Oval of All Souls School in Charters Towers, North Queensland,
Australia. Charters Towers is on th emajor highway and railway
line west of Townsville, about 100kilometers west/south-west of
Townsville, which is on the coast of North Queensland. It was
devestating news to the many people who were still at the Speech Night
function at All Souls School.
My Sister Coral met Hugh McVean one friday night in July, 1967 at his
local pub, the Hotel Allen where he drank regularily,
excessively. It seems rather strange that he did drink so to excess,
because the driver who crashed into his parents'car, killing them both,
when Hugh was actually also a passenger in the same car, was a drunk
driving a hearse.
The Hotel Allen was diagonally opposite the Townsville General
Hospital in North Ward Townsville where Hugh McVean was gaining
practical experience as a Pharmacist in the Pharmacy of the Townsville
General Hospital.
Hugh McVean was at that time in his first year out of Uni,, The
University of Queensland. Hugh failed his first year of Pharmacy, and
was a boarder at Kings College on the St Lucia Campus of The University
of Queensland. That year, 1967, was Coral's first year teaching
out of Kelvin Grove Teachers College in Brisbane. Mum and Dad,
especially Dad, had worked assiduously, with all the encouagement and
assistance including Tutors, to ensue Coral gained a
qualification. Coral did not find school easy, and Mum especially
used to say repeatedly that Coral was a plodder. Coral
was good kid and persevered. [That may be a family
trait.] Co
Now I have a ot of low down. ASS is run by Brotherhood of St
Barnabus; Homosexuals and pedophiles, and the next term, hugh was
'adopted' by the priest Father Roland and moved into his
house.
Father Roland was the priest and did communion, masses [Anglican] and
Father Mattingly was the HeadMaster. All the rest were
'Brothers' It
is reported that Brother Lawrance was seen chocka Brother Rudolph.

The personnel at All Souls School circa 1960, were All Brothers of the
Brotherhood of St Barnabas except two 'Fathers'. These were, the
HeadMaster Father Mattingly, and Father Roland, the Priest, who
conducted church services, Mass, communion and such. Both
'Fathers' had their own individual houses.
When Hugh McVean returned to All Souls School the year following his
parents'demise, he was 'Adopted' by Father Roland, the 'priest',
and Hugh McVean moved into
Father Roland's house, to live.
We do not at this stage, know whether or not Hugh McVean was molested
by Father Roland, or any other Brother or Father at All Souls School,
prior to, or subsequent to, the death of Hugh McVean's parents.
We will continue to research this. We are now told, that the year
after Hugh McVean's parents were victims of the fatal motor vehicle
collision, he was still a student at All Souls College. In fact
We believe that in the circumstance of having lost both his parents, in
a motor vehicle collision, when he was also a passenger, Hugh McVean
would have rightly felt, cheated and forsaken by fate and the
world. Anyone in that circumstance, has to determine how they
will progress in life and not fall to pieces and become a gibbering
idiot. If that sad circumstance was then used to molest Hugh
McVean in the widespread, extensive pedophilia culture existing then in
All Sould School, then it would be readily understandable tht
Hugh McVean would have felt powerless, amd a foresaken victim.
That could account for Hugh McVean's present Criminal nature.
We believe that there is a strong likelihood that Hugh McVean was
molested by one or more pedophiles, at All Souls School.
